When most people think of bachelorette parties, they think of drunken girls wearing tiaras. The night typically consists of bar hopping, shots in honor of the upcoming nuptials, and crude and/or embarrassing accessories worn by the bride-to-be. While this may sound fun to some people, it is not every bride’s dream to spend their bachelorette party stumbling around in a boa and flashing ring. That’s why I’m going to share with you six alternative bachelorette party ideas. Don’t worry, they are still fun and guy-free.
A Weekend Getaway
Instead of spending all your money on booze and cover charges, you could spend your money (or your bridesmaids’ money, depending on who is paying) on a weekend getaway. The destination is completely up to you. You could spend a weekend skiing in the mountains or lounging on the beach. You could even enjoy a weekend spa retreat.
A Fun Class
If bars don’t interest you, go somewhere that does. You, and the bridesmaids of course, could take a cooking class or art class. Try to find something that is out of your comfort zone but has always interest you. It will make for a memorable evening, or day, and you may just come home with a new skill and hobby.
A Road Trip
Similar to the weekend getaway, a road trip extends the fun of a bachelorette party. Instead of one night of fun, you can enjoy a whole weekend or even a whole week. Where you go is completely up to you. It can be as simple as a short trip to local destinations or as complex as a cross-country drive.
Do Something Active
If you love the outdoors more than bars, consider a day of kayaking or boating. You could also find an indoor activity such as rock climbing. If you love adventure, consider skydiving.
Have a Spa Day
If you love to be pampered, consider a spa day. You and your bridesmaids can get facials, manicures, and massages. What better way to relax before the big day than with a little pampering? No matter how you decide to celebrate your big day, be sure to have fun, take tons of pictures, and enjoy every minute. Don’t be afraid to think outside the box. The purpose of a bachelorette party is to celebrate with bridesmaids and to have a little fun before the wedding. So enjoy!
