One Thing Every Brides Need A Day of Emergency Kit

If you have made it past all of the big decisions (cake, DJ, venue, dress), you have probably started to worry about all the little details on the day of. After all, you want the day to go as smoothly as possible. If you are like most brides, you have probably already thought of everything that could possibly go wrong. The florist gets lost and misses the reception. You rip your dress right before you walk down the aisle. Your maid of honor spills wine on the best man’s vest. In my years of experience, I have witnessed some wedding day mishaps that I wish I can share here (without getting in trouble). However, there is one

thing (besides a wedding day coordinator) that can help ease your mind and solve almost any wedding day crisis: an emergency wedding day kit. Just knowing that you have all the supplies to fix a problem will make you feel more relaxed. Here are a few things to include in your kit.

  • Stomach medicine such as Tums
  • A copy of the wedding day agenda/timeline
  • A list of phone numbers and contact names for all vendors
  • Band-Aids
  • Eye drops
  • Extra contacts and solution (if you wear contacts)
  • Wallet: driver’s license, insurance card, extra cash
  • Bobby pins
  • Hair brush
  • Hair spray
  • Hand sanitizer
  • Hand lotion
  • Tide stick
  • Scissors
  • Tweezers
  • Tissues

The day of the wedding ask someone who you will be with all day (such as your mom or your wedding coordinator) to be in charge of the emergency bag. This way you don’t have to carry it around all day, but it will always be close in case of emergency.

We’d love to hear from you. What items are you putting your emergency bag? Have you ever been to a wedding where the emergency bag was used?
